| Jumping All the time...driving me nuts Recently Kobe (almost 6 months) has become a jumping machine. Everytime I go get his food, jump jump. Anytime I am eating standing up at the counter, sometimes just when I am walking with something in my hands, he is jumping trying to get it or see what it is. With feeding I have started to put him in his crate till I have his food ready. And I have even crated him when I am eating or cooking in the kitchen. Any ideas on how to break him of this constant jumping. I am considering getting a no jump harness to train him not to jump. I know he needs walks, but right now it is cold and he hates going on walks anyway. I hope once it warms up and he gets a daily walk that that will take care of all his energy, but I have a feeling it won't. He is HYPER after his morning nap and afternoon nap.

| My dog is 1 years old and still loves to play, I try to get in a good solid hour of fetch or play toys anything to get her to use some pent up energy... Its cold here and normally we play ball outside. I get on the floor play toys with her, throw the ball etc... I even got her a weazel ball, 20 minutes playing with that she is exhausted. They have them on ebay for a few bucks.. When you are eating or cooking, try giving him a bully stick or a kong to keep him busy, chewing really tires them out too! Weasel Ball Motorized Appears Alive LOVES KIDS Weazel - eBay (item 130355630294 end time Jan-29-10 11:28:22 PST) this toy is awesome, keeps them running around and tires them out ALOT!

| Thanks I will for sure get that ball. I do give him the chewies and they do keep him busy. He has done better alittle better not jumping so much when I get his food. I think it is cause I crated him and told him NO jumping. Our pets generally want to please us, they just need to understand exactly what is expected and what is not allowed. Consistence is the key.
