| Only barks at two things -- Still, HELP! 4 month old Ruger only barks at two things, otherwise he's silent. The first is when I strop my straight razor. I think it sends off a noise that only he can hear, and I can live with it. I stop. He stops. The other is a bit more problematic. When he gets together with my girlfriend's Westie he goes nuts. He climbs all over the poor dog and barks nonstop, and will continue this behavior all night. None of the actions of either dog is threatening, and I'm assuming Ruger is just a puppy and wants to play. Sometimes they might get into a tug-of-war or something and you can see they are playing, but usually Ruger just climbs all over this poor Westie and barks nonstop. The Westie is 8. I can't wait for him to grow out of this. I need some sleep. Any ideas? Will he grow out of it? Is this an attempt to establish alpha status? |
