| Sherri, I will talk with her vet next time we go in but Gracie never pees anywhere in the house except on me while we're sitting in the recliner. She doesn't wet my bed (she sleeps right next to me). In fact, at this very moment she is wanting to be let outside so I better go let her out. Otherwise, it's seems strange that she would only pee when she's sitting next to me on the recliner... and it's not on the recliner.... she turns her body so it ends up on me!! aarrgghh!!

| DaveD, I agree that is arrrgh that she only wants to make sure she is going on your body. That would upset me no end and I am not sure I would ever think it is a urinary problem either. Just a bad doggie is what I would think. Just a wild thought I had. They do try to communicate with us in the only way they know how. I had a Yorkie that would jump up and down in front of me while I was doing dishes at the kitchen sink. Not sure if that was why she did it but she did have a health problem. Can't remember if it was a urinary infection or a yeast infection but she did have a problem at that time. So who knows. Thanks for answering my post. Nice of you. Hope you get it solved. If not by a vet maybe you could seek help with a trainer or the like. They might have the reason why it is done. Sure can't take her to a doggie psychiatrist can you? lol

| Since replying I read a few articles about "ownership". She may be marking what she feels belongs to her... ME! Maybe I should feel honored that she pees on me! lol!! Thanks for your input.

| She may have some age related sphincter issues which can be treated easily. Need to see the vet to be sure no infections or anything like that.

| Thank you, as well, Jay. I will be taking her in soon so I will talk with the vet about it. It may or may not be related but my Gracie started hiding her treats at about the same time she started peeing on me. I don't know. I'll get it figured out. Thanks again!

| My Cali is 8 years old, spayed, and a few months ago I notice a little wetness where she had slept - that happened a couple times over a few months. Took her to the vet and started a very low dose (she is maybe 4 pounds) of proin twice a day on her food and no further problems. Proin helps to strengthen the muscle tone of the urethra sphincter. Good luck.
