| doggie door help please I put a doggie door in about two weeks ago. I kept the flap up to get them use to using the door-- it's been great, they have been going out night and day to pottie---problem is now it's cold and I can't keep the flap up and they will not go through the flap, they are scared to death of it. won't even go through if it is partially open with me on the other side with a meat treast. What can I do--suggestions please. Cathy, mom to Sarge and Lexi |

| I pushed mine through the door a few times, after seeing it was not going to hurt them they started going on their own and the others started following. maybe you could try that

Donating YT 500 Club Member | We taped the door up in the beginning. Then every day or two we'd drop in down a little further then tape again. It didn't take long at all & she was over it all. No big deal to her. She just needed to get used to it.

| With my husband on one side with treats and me on the other with treats, we just gently pushed them through. praised and gave treats. We did this only for about 3 times each several times a day. Took only the first day to get them used to pushing something with their nose.

| Doggy Door Small bites of rotissiere chicken on each side of the door for several days worked for us, but I really like the idea of taping the flap lower each day, that is very clever. |
