| Hooray, I think. I've been trying to crate train Ruger. At first I tossed him in there and spent two sleepless night, so I decided to try a gentle approach. I took the lid off and threw treats in there and he'd go in and come back out. I moved up to putting the lid back on, same thing with the treats. Now I threw a Kong in there and he's happily chewing the thing and just staying in there -- he just came partway out for some water. I think I'm getting there. Next we try with the door on but open. As for the big, nylon crate/pen. I put him in there and left for a few hours. The little bugger ate a hole through the door. As I was walking through the door he had his head out and was working to make the hole bigger. I guess those puppy teeth are sharper than I thought. Damn! He just pooped on the floor as I was writing this. Okay, I'm batting .500 today. |
