| As long as teh trainer is postive based and is still learning thier craft and atttending seminars I say go for it. I would not worry if it is AKC recognized so much as it be up on current learning and teaching methods. JL

| Tootsie just graduated from puppy training class last week~our trainer was sooo wonderful and Tootsie loved class...I don't think our class was AKC sponsored (just checked her certificate and it didn't mention AKC anywhere) but I would highly recommend puppy classes!!! Especially if you have never owned a Yorkie... I have grown up with boxers my whole life and thought I was prepared for a Yorkie-little did I know!!!! I think the class was more about teaching US how to teach Tootsie...It was very informative and we definetly learned alot!!!

| We do own a Yorkie other than Sherman Tank. My bf is wanting as many ways to bond with Sherman as possible and we thought this might be a good way My bf is used to bigger dogs who he has WONDERFULLY trained. Sherman is his pupppy and I am trying hard not to interfere and let him do all the training. We were just curious what puppy classes contain?

| The classes I'm currently taking Capone to do AKC Good Canine Citizen program. I don't know if they are directly sponsored by the AKC are anything but they do incorporate the AKC program. The classes are a good way to teach your dog to listen to you when others are around, so far so good!
