| Not exactally digging.. Rupert is great, and trained except for one thing. When ever I am not home, he tries to dig up the carpet right next to the door, or walls. He has only done this is 2 places so far, but I have started to have to kennel him again, and I hate leaving him cooped up in there while I am at work. He knows it is wrong, and when I find carpet on the ground he gets scared because he knows hes in trouble. I just dont understand how I am get him to stop doing this, I have done everything I can think of and he still tries to dig up the carpet. I cover the areas he has done it and he will find a new spot. I also thought maybe his nails were just getting long and he was doing it because of that or something, but I got them trimmed and he still does the same thing. Everyone around my apartment is real friendly and loves him, so I can only think he is trying to get outside maybe so he can try to be around people, or he is mad I leave so hes being destructive or hes trying to dig out to come find me. I can't have him digging up my carpet though, so if anyone has any advice I would appreciate it. Thanks! |

| Maybe you could try giving him a kong with some treats in it to keep him busy while your gone? He might just be upset that you left and like you said is trying to get to you. Even putting some peanut butter paste or yogurt in the kong, freezing it and giving it to him will keep him busy for awhile and keep the digging off of his mind. Hopefully some other members will have some more advice for you! |

| I wish I had advice for you. Roscoe LOVES to dig. He digs in the yard, he tries to dig the couch, and he digs on my bed. He really looks like he thinks he might go somewhere! I really hope someone has some great advice for you!
