| Muffin wouldn't go out in the wet grass in all of her life. I was so greatful for the pee pads in the garage! On the other hand, Kacee goes right out in it, but I don't know if that will change as she gets older or not...

I Love Thor Donating Member | Thor won't have anything to do with the rain. I don't know what it is about it but no way is he getting his coat wet to use the potty. I never know what to do when its raining. I don't have any good suggestions for this. Maybe your little prince just has high standards for his grass. Hopefully someone else can offer better advice! |

| My first little girl, Sneaker -- didn't care if it was raining cats and dogs. She would go outside and do what she needed to do, and then come in just sopping wet. (I never had any problems potty training her either. From the time I brought her home, she was paper/litterbox trained) Then when Toby came into my life -- i realized how totally spoiled I had been. It took him forever to potty train... and if it even looked like it would rain -- he wouldn't even think of going out to potty. I was so frustrated!!! But, now -- he's just over 2 years old -- and he will go out and do his business, rain or shine. Hopefully your little one will start doing better as well. |

| I think it is simply because they don't like being wet or it is cold to them. If Muffin and I went outside, then she would go up next to the house where it was dry from the overhang! She didn't like to get dirty. Kacee could care less, at least, so far...

| That's a good question! Teddy will go out and hop in his pool and play under the automatic sprinklers every chance he gets but let it rain and he won't step foot outside the door. Rain -vs- sprinklers and the difference in the 2 is what? I just don't get it...

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Eddie is hopeless if I'm trying to work on obedience skills on wet grass. He refuses to sit. He does his business on wet grass, but he avoids walking on it when he can.

| Most dogs have a warmer under-coat. Yorkies do not. They have HAIR and not fur, so they get cold and wet just like you would. If you don't want to go out there naked, they won't want to either! Get yerself a rain-coat! Mine has easy-on Velcro since I live in Seattle. |
