| My Dog's won't stop fighting :( I need some help, as I feel I am losing my mind. We got 2 Yorkies a week and a half ago - 12 weeks old. Dakota is 2.2lbs (M) and Sioux is 3.6lbs (F). When we went to pick up the dogs, they were so close, and we didn't want to split them up. They are wonderful dogs, loving, caring, and playful. The only problem is when they are in the Xpen or on the floor playing, they fight terribly. Sioux and Dakota will fight, kick, bite (it looks like that), etc. The noises make me cry, and I don't know what to do. We don't want to get rid of one of them, and I am looking to some of you guys for help. Please, give me some advice...thanks. |

| Were they littermates, or just from the same human family? Are you sure they didn't fight before? Do you plan to spay/neuter? Sometimes when my 2 boys get excited they will fuss with each other. Maybe you could get seperate, smaller ex-pens? Wish I could be more help. Hang in there!

| Are you SURE it's true fighting? Puppies can play pretty rough with each other. Does anyone ever yelp, or cry as in pain, or hide from each other, etc? Because it sounds like they're playing. My dogs will play together and it sounds as if they are killing each other but they are really having fun. It'd help to maybe see a video of the puppies. I highly doubt two 12 week old pups, male & female, are truly fighting.

| This is what puppies do at 12 weeks of age. I bet if you went on U-Tube you could search for puppies and you would see some of the same actions.

| Ooh I think you're making WAY more of this than they are Little puppies will play fight all day long and this fighting can get VERY VERY noisy sometimes They are just being the dogs they need to be Unless you are hearing a a YELP! Or if one is constantly running away from the other one I wouldn't get concerned A word of warning from someone who does have two very healthy pups .... expect more of the same

| puppies playing rough Thank you so much for this question. I have a 18 week old female I got on May 10th and I got a 12 week old male on June 30. They are not litter mates. They were just now fighting, I thought, because they become very aggressive. He weighs 6.2 lbs and she is 51/2 lbs. So this makes me feel better about them playing. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Puppies play very rough complete with growls, barks, yips and bites. When they get into a "real" fight you'll know, trust me.
