| Make it party time every time they go on the pad! Funny story...we were doing the "potty celebration" one day when Gizmo was little. Right in the middle of our celebration, I glanced out our of window and saw our neighbors who had been walking by, just standing there frozen with their jaws wide open. Apparently, we had forgotten that the windows were open! Kind of like this => LOL! We just laughed and continued to party on!

| Either it was an accident or he prefers to poop on them than pee ): He peed on the COUCH!!! Good thing we're getting a new one in the next few months. I hate it when he does that. Yesterday he peed on my daughter's little pottery barn chair. Now THAT pissed me off ): |

When he peed on the couch and your daughter's chair, were you at home at the time? Until he's much older, he needs to be confined to a smaller area while you're gone. Potty training isn't perfect. They don't just get it one day and then never make mistakes again. You have to continually reinforce it. Does he get really excited when you come home? Does he pee when he gets excited? My thought here is that he's waiting for you to come home, so he gets up higher to see out a window, maybe? When he sees you are home, he gets excited and pees where he is. IDK...maybe not. It's just a thought.

| I'm always at home, I'm a stay at home mommy. And he is confined to the living room and I watch him like a hawk. I was sitting right beside the little booger when he did it ): We're having an awful day today. |

Has he had a vet check recently? Is this new behavior? Peeing on the couch? I say this because this could also be a sign of a UTI, and I would like to rule that out first.

| He's due so we'll be taking him but I doubt it's that. Simply because he's never crated. At night or when I can't watch him properly he's in his xpen with a potty pad and he uses it great in there (: And yes he's done this before.... (*Screams into pillow*) He just has good days then BAM! it's like I just brought him home. I really need to figure something out because my husband is dead set on getting carpet as well. I like our hardwood floors but oh well. |
