| Finally!!! Well I hope I don't jinx myself, but I think my "Crazy Daisy" has finally caught on to potty training! It has been a solid week without an accident, I still have her on a very tight schedule, but she hasn't slipped up yet. She isn't even 5 months old yet (June 13th) and it has been a night and day change in her behavior in recent weeks. She responds to my commands, and is very obedient. I even have her sitting on command. The cutest thing about her now, is after she potties on her pad and I congratulate her she immediately sits and waits for her treat without command! This may be premature, but I have given her more and more freedom as she has progressed, but to all those who feel like their Yorkie is hopeless (trust me I thought I was going to lose my mind almost everyday) stick with it, once they get it, it's a priceless reward for the amount of hardwork thats put in. I finally feel that we have a chance to truly bond now, without all the added stress of the suprises she use to leave me. For those that may be struggling, all I can say is CONSISTENCY, even without months of positive results, is the key. |
