| What do you do with wires? Okay, I just realized that Joey has practically chewed through my computer cord (maybe he is sick of me on YT) and the cord to my daughter's fancy keyboard. I live in a condo/apartment and these electronics are out in the open and can't be closed off. Is there a way to encase or block the wires? I tried pillows, taping, but it never fails and I can't keep my eye on him every second (although it seems like I do sometimes). Now the wires are exposed on one of the cords and i put it on top of the table, but there are so many more. I thought he was past this chewing thing, he's almost one. Sadie never touched wires.

| My yorkie started chewing wires also. I'm a newbie, so I'm not sure if this is the ideal answer, but I usually block my Yorkie off from places with lots of wires. We live in an apartment too, so I feel your pain. We have a baby gate set up in one place, and two boxes blocking the other two places that have dangers (wires, etc.). It has worked very well for us because we are big enough to step over the baby gate and boxes with little effort, but the yorkie cannot get past the obstacles. Just watch out for the baby gate, because if it isn't tight enough, your yorkie can squeeze past, believe me, mind did it, LOL. |

| 3M sticky tab hooks He has chewed threw my computer cord twice. He chewed off the plug on my heating pad. He has chewed assorted furniture corners and yes he has chewy toys and bullysticks and nylabones. All of the cords behind my family room sofa are now attached to the walls with the 3M hooks that stick on the wall and are removed by pulling the tab. Hope this helps |

| Thank you both for your help. I want to get those hooks, but not sure I know what they look like. Are they the kind that you hang towels on?

| Something you might try - there are cord/cable covers that are sold here and there -- I remember getting some at Radio Shack. Most are flexible but we have some that are rigid metal - think I got those at some place like Lowe's or Home Depot. Those might help some with the chewing. My boys didn't chew on cords but I was concerned that they'd get tangled in some of them so we had cords all bunched together in covers all over the place. |

| What worked wonders for me was Bitter apple...the brand was grannicks, a yellow and green sticker on a white bottle. My guy started chewing at the wires and I sprayed them all and the entire area and now he doesn't touch them and I have not sprayed in weeks. some folks say the bitter apple does not work for them...but it is worth a try. My guy loves shoes and the bitter apple works temporarily on that but it must fade or something because he goes back to them at other times...I just respray and he stays away. make sure you get the same brand! |

| I have the bitter apple and will try that. I guess it can't hurt the wires? I have the same one, but I think mine is a gel. Great ideas, you guys, thanks so much.

| Oh mimi had this problem for a while!! She chewed thru two of my cellphone charger, printer adapter, computer cord, Gucci eye glasses, and etc.. I solved thsi problem by simply getting wire protectors. you can get them anywhere like home depot or lowes. I have them on my wires and also have granny's Bitter Apple Spray. you can spray that on the something you dont want him to chew and he won't caus ethe taste is aweful. Hope this helped =)
