| Who's Modifying Whose Behavior Here Getting ready for work I was getting dressed and doing what has become a ritual around my house I had to close the bedroom door because when My Mike sees me getting dressed for work he knows that he is going to go into his room so he's taken to running under the bed So I can't get him To avoid me getting stressed even before I go to work I now need to close the door I also have to close the door to the master bathroom because they see me using it How many of you guys have changed your behavior for your pups?

YT Addict | I must raise my hand on that one. After I take Harley out in the mornings I have to get back in bed to lay with him a few minutes so he can give me kisses and play a few minutes....when I should be starting to get ready. He is also one that knows when I am getting ready for work and that means he will be in his kennel. He won't let me get close enough to pet him when I'm getting ready. I usually have to chase him down or trick him to catch him. The one thing my husband can't stand (it's a behavior he has had to modify) is that when he can't sleep at night he liked to get up and get on his computer or watch TV but now he can't because he will wake the BABY up. That drives him crazy. |

| I now avoid watching any kind of animal documentary or TV show with dogs... they don't have to make any noise, she can sense somehow that an animal is on the TV and goes nuts! |

| Have I modified my behavior? Let me count the ways.....oh wait, there are too many to count! LOL Here are just a few... I take her into my bedroom and close the door when I'm getting ready to go to work, especially if she didn't go #2 when I let her out. Same with when I shower, I close my bedroom door. If I don't - it's hard to tell what she will get into. If we eat dinner in the living room, I sit on the couch so she has room to sit aside of me - not on the arm or the back of the chair I usually sit in which puts her face right by mine. I really need to get us enrolled in classes as she has began a few undesirable behaviors. Such as she ran out the front door when I got home last night and straight over to the neighbors (they were outside talking). They thought it cute, but me - not so much. And the barking - at anything and everything and everybody! And she doesn't come when I call her, she tries to take food out of the grandkids' hands...yes, it is time for classes!
