| Please help! I had a Yorkie for 7 years and he was extremely intelligent when it came to training. Unfortunately he was bit by a rottweiler and passed away. After grieving for some time I have decided I need to have the little noise makers in my life again. SO my husband decided to get 2 instead of one. I will be picking up my new babies on Friday and I am freaked out to start all over again. They are both about 8 weeks old. Any suggestions are REALLY appreciated!!! The only benefit I see is I do live in the mountains ie; lots of outdoor space for them and accidents. |

My furkids Donating Member | do you mean with the training? or the Rottie? I would suggest you just do what you did with the first one (if you are referring to the training) If you are referring to the Rottie??? I don't know what to tell you on that one. Maybe not a good idea?

| Hmm I would try doing everything together. Feed them together, walk them together, when they potty outside give both of them treats, etc. Having two may actually be beneficial because if one does something good, the other will see that the first one gets praises. Good Luck!

| You should reserve some time each day training the dogs separately. With littermates you have to watch out for them bonding too closely with each other and not to you. Training them separately will let each dog learn at their own pace and also let you spend time with them one on one as well as teaching the other one to be by themselves sometimes. |

| I think you shouldn't take the babies away from their mommy until they are at least 12 weeks old. If they are littermates, that is better, but one will establish dominance over the other. Just watch them all the time, observe their behavior. If you let them outside do NOT take your eyes off them, go out wiht them. Coyotes or owls will spot them as prey. Be careful! Even is suburban areas i have heard of this happening! Good luck!
