| Move pee pads to another level in home? I need to move my girls pee pads from one level of my home to another. I don't think the "move it an inch a day" trick will work when we get to the two flights of stairs. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking of putting a used pee pad in the new area of the house that I want them to go, and gating them in that area when I am away. How do I get them to stop using the old area? Might it be easier just to transition to peeing outside? Help!

Thor's Human Donating Member | Ha! Yeah, it would be tough to move a pee pad up one step at a time. I think your idea of putting a used pad + gate is a good one. To stop them from going in the old place, can you move it some? Maybe get them used to the idea that the spot is moving, and then voila, a second pad appears upstairs! It might help to cut the pad in half also, so they see that it's "disappearing". I'm not sure it that would hurt the absorbancy, though.

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | I didn't move to another level, but was successful in moving to another room. I gated the room off, actually while steam cleaning the carpet. She was gated off for over a week, & I was so thankful she remembered the routine when she finally had free roam again. I use the pads in two different rooms & changed one of them with success. Good Luck!
