| Shredding puppy pad!! Will not listen!!!!HELP!!!! CC is around five months old. We started training her using the puppy pads which she will use while we are home. When we leave her while at work, she will shred the puppy pad!!!! She is so funny about her pee and poop also! She will cover the pee that's on the pad with the remaining areas of the pad!!! She hates to see and smell it. Same goes with her poop. So, I tried to do the dog litter. She never used it, no matter how much love, treats and praise we gave her. She would just spill it everywhere! I just bought a puppy trey/holder to hold her pee pad, hoping it would help, but now she wont pee on it! When we are home sometimes, she will just pee wherever she feels like it, the couch, the carpet, etc.... I can call her over and over and she just stares at me like I'm an idiot! She is so stubborn! We keep her in a kennel (med. pet taxi) at night, and she will sometimes pee in that also!!!!!! My husband is about to lose it!!!!! I want her to be a lovely addition to the family, not stressful!!!! Also, when we walk her, she tries to pull so hard she makes herself cough, even with a harness on. I have been to training classes for this but no luck! Someone please help me!!!!!!! |

| I don't have any really helpful advice except to say 5 months is about the same time most people are ready to pull their hair out with Yorkies over house training lack of progress. I know I did too. Then all of a sudden, it is like a light goes on and they suddenly get it, or think we have suffered enough and have mercy on us, whatever the case may be -- they finally start doing their busines where they are supposed to. Just try to be consistent and patient. Then even when you think you have done it, they will occasionally remind you that they can still do it wherever they want.

| My guys loved to shred the disposable potty pads - especially the ones with baking soda. I outwitted them by purchasing the washable pads. No shredding and I save a ton of $$. One day in the not too distant future, your baby will be perfct and you will look back and . But for now it is patience and perserverance with CC she will learn. |
