| potty training I have a 9 month old yorkie that has always used pee pads inside and has recently started tearing them up. I want to train her to go outside now that it is getting warmer here. My husband hates the pads. My question is how do I get her to go outside. I bought her a wire crate today with a devider so I can adjust for size, We have had her in a playpen so I thought I needed to get her out of it and away from any previous smells, I have been taking her out every hour to go potty but she just wants to play and I have not seen her go but once and that was to pee, also what should I expect as far as night time goes. Any suggestions and help will be appreciated. Tess |

| Maybe try putting one of her pads outside? With her pee smell on it? Get her on a good schedule, constantly take her out, and the minute she goes outside praise, praise and treat!

| it is very important to take her to the same spot everytime and treat her right afterward with a happy voice. Soon she will learn. You should create a schedule and take her out of the crate only during those times until she learn. It took charlie 2 wks to learn to potty train outside..he is pretty good about sleeping thru the night..if he does need to go at 3 or 4 am..i have to get up and take him outside. he is pretty good at this time to go potty right away. |

| potty training...... Hi! Have you thought about litter box training your little one? Try the Rascal Dog Litter Box. There are no piddle pads for your little baby to tear up and the whole system it was very affordable. I paid around $70 for it. It is really easy to clean. I just have to rinse the box and fake grass and aa grid once a week and I put fresh newspapers in evry two days or so........check it out. Works well for my little one! Hope this helps! Their website is Rascal Dog Litter Box - Home. Itsy Bit |
