| Just wanted to share... Hi everyone! It's been a few months since I was on last and I just wanted to share our progress with you all. We have an almost one-year-old (he will turn 1 on 2/28!) male yorkie named Samson. From the minute we got him, we fell in love, but that did not stop us from being pushed to the edge many times in the last year in regards to his potty training. There were a handful of times when I really thought he was going to a new home. However, in the last couple months, we seemed to have turned a corner and Samson has been #1 accident free for just over a month and accident free with #2 in many, MANY months (lost count). I am just so giddy and excited about this. Everything about owning him has changed - it's so much more relaxing and enjoyable. I know that sounds horrible and I don't mean it to be, but it's true. While I loved him to bits before, it's just different now. I mean, I can let him wander around the house a bit more, he can go lay on our bed if he wants to get away and nap for a bit on his own and, most importantly, I am more relaxed now. I'm not so tense and uptight with him. I'm not stressing myself out for having to constantly watch him and taking him out constantly. It's amazing to be just over the top of the hill and slowly going down the other side. I know we're not in the clear yet (if ever) but like I said, it's just awesome right now. We are able to really enjoy him now and he just seems like a more relaxed, chilled out dog. He's more comfortable and so are we. We are on a great schedule of taking him out every 1.5 - 2 hours and he has improved so much in letting us know when he has to go out. He becomes restless and will sit in front of you and stare. If that doesn't work, then he will start to do a cry/bark/whine combo thing. It's seriously so cute. It's not a "let me out of my crate" whine, but a cute, low little growl-whine. I love it. Seriously, though, it's awesome that he seems to have figured it out and we couldn't be happier with our little guy!!! |

| Wow! That's great. We are in full potty training mode so it nice to know there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Congrats!

| Congratulations! There are several of us right now with that one month goal, and I know how hard it is to get there - we certainly aren't there yet, but I do love reading a good potty success story. Thank you for sharing with us. And your pictures are super cute too! i love the way his face is cut. Lauren & Nikko |
