I bought one for Dublin, and other than super glue, I don't have the slightest idea how to keep him from pulling it right off...

| I make belly bands. Sherry Lynn: I don't know about trying to keep them on, my mom's male likes his (that's who I started making them for), But I would think if long piece of velcro was used and it was fastened securely it would be pretty hard to get out of, your pup must be an escape artist! Here's what mine look like. |

| Any mommy who loves a male Yorkie should make themselves acquainted with those belly bands. I make mine in all kids of fabrics-denim, red cord, flannel and so on. I cut the fabric about 5-6 inches wide and the mesaurement around his tummy over his penis.add 4 inches to the length and then stitch all around leaving one area open to turn the band. Stitch that shut. Then I use 1" wide velcro so I cut 2 sets of strips 2 1/2 inches long. Stitch them on so that they will overlap and stick properly. They you are in business..I add women's sanitary pads inside and baby powder. About 3 or 4 times a day, take the band and pad off, wipe his tummy with baby wipes and let his air out. Then do him all over again. It is great when you take them to someone's home who is not the Yorkie lovers that we are.. |
