| New yorkie agressive to other yorkie Dolce is bigger then yoshi but Dolce is so timid and shy. Yoshi is our new yorkie that we just adopted and for some reason everytime Dolce comes close to him he growls or barks at him and scares him off. It's only their first few hours together, any advice on how to get them to get along? |

| here's a little more info, Dolce is 6 months and we have had him for 2 months and he is neutered. Yoshi we got yesterday, 7 months old, half the size of Dolce, he's not neutered and being the aggressor. Earlier it was barking but twice now Yoshi has bitten Dolce. Every time yoshi growls when Dolce comes around we sternly say no to him. Hopefully this is just a phase and will pass |

| This is like a DeJavue post all over again from 2 years ago that I put out. lol I posted something similiar to this when I first got Kamari. he was so mean to her and I was told because he was letting her know who's the boss. He didn't want to play with her, didn't want her near his toys and didn't want to eat by her either. She held her place thru out it all, she fought everyday to play with him. He finally got it together and she's his playmate and he protects her. He can still be mean to her though, but sometimes she fights back and sometimes she runs. lol

| I would DEFINITELY get him neutered. That will help tremendously. As far the situation -- when we first got Maggie, she attacked Franklin every chance she got. She was scared, in a new place with new people, new sounds and new smells. It is normal for them to not get along at first. The whole dynamic changes in a household when you bring in another dog and everybody just needs a little time to get used to it. I would keep the separate for a while - with us, I think it was 2 weeks? They were completely separate except for a couple minutes a day of supervised interaction. If one of them started to growl, we separated them again. We kept Franklin in the living room with us (where his playpen was) and Maggie stayed in the kitchen in her crate. At first I thought it was cruel leaving her out there alone. But then I realized she needed the time to adjust. To lay in her crate and learn our smells and voices. Once she was adjusted, we let them interact (again, fully supervised). Eventually they got along and today they're best friends! Be patient and give them time. It's a scary time for both of the dogs. They'll come around eventually.
