| Attachment Hi, I have a 3 month old yorkie/silky terrier mix & I absolutely adore her. Sophie is hyper and spoiled and i love her to bits. But since I work 9-5 she lives with my boyfriend who is in another state. I visit a lot usually 3/7 days. But I've started to notice (and expected this to occur) that she's a lot more attentive and attached to him then she is to me. She'll listen to me when I discipline her but she's definitely more affectioante towards him. Pretty soon we're going to be transitioning her to my apartment. Hopefully she's okay with me working 9-5...but my question is..do you think she'll everbe as affectionate towards me as she is towards him? will she ever realize that i'm her mommy? it really stresses me out thinking that she sees him as master and not me. |

| Welcome to YT!! I'm sure Sophie will quickly come to recognize you as her mom when she moves to your apartment - no doubt about it! Just have patience with her. She loves you!

| Abolutely, Sophie will see you that way. Just as Gardeness said, you will just need to be patient. Puppies have tons of love to share. And just think, if you need a babysitter for a weekend or even a week, and your boyfriend babysits for you; just know what a comfort it will be for you to have her stay somewhere and with someone that she loves and a place where she is familiar with. You can actually enjoy yourself without worrying about her. So try not to let it bother you, she loves you!
