| crate training question Ok, question. Puppy is 9.5 weeks old. She is doing well in the crate (at night see sleeps in the crate and wakes me when she has to go). I take her out, she goes, and back in. The question is, sometimes in the very early morning the puppy wakes up (5 - 6am) and is ready to start the day. She is not crying, she is just chomping on her toys in the crate and messing around. I will open the door of the crate and she walks over to my bed, snuggles up and sleeps for however long i sleep. Is that bad? I dont want to be sending any mixed singles. Btw she is using the crate during the day as her 'safe place'. She will bring food in there and drag toys in. Love her =)

Donating YT 10K Club Member | As long as you realize...you are starting a pattern...one she'll expect. I don't think it's wrong... All of mine get up with my husband first thing...and then come back to bed to snuggle with me. Yeah, they do learn to love their "dens" too. Reggie has LOADS of stuff he's taken into his.

| I dont think its a bad thing..in fact, i'm jealous. She sounds like a godsend. My Pasquale gets up at 6am..and DONT even think of going back to bed ...cause its time to PLAY PLAY PLAY!! And my little one hates his crate. I leave it out for him during the day if he wants to go in and sleep...i know he's thinking "fat chance lady" So i'm VERY jealous of you right now!
