| Pad training questions I am getting another Yorkie in November....since it will be so cold I plan on pad training. My other yorkie is trained to go outside. Do you think it would be ok to train to the pad in the garage area???? My husband and I would rather the pad not be kept inside. I have heard they will sometimes associate indoor pad training with thinking they can go in other areas of the house. I was wondering also how difficult it iwould be to pad train Summer to go on the pad in the cold months. Is it possible that she go outside in nice weather and on a pad in cold. She hates rain and cold!!!! Anyone have any experiences with either of these issues I would appreciate your advise. Thanks!

| We got Hot Rod at Christmastime and we pad trained him inside the house w/o any problems. We got Maggie the end of July and she is pad trained also. They both go outside as well. I would think it is okay to do the pad in the garage. I have a pad in my sunroom and they use that when they are in there. I leave the door to it open when it is nice and they usually will use that pad over the one inside the house. Not sure how to train Summer to use the pad now she is used to going outside. I would think that it might take a little while but would be doable. I have seen a spray at petsmart to use to show them where to go, maybe you can spray some of that on the pad for Summer. Good luck.
