| My 1 year old has started destroying my house! Kramer was doing great, he never really chewed anything but his toys when teething, now at age 1 every time I come home he has chewed yet another molding in my kitchen. I put hot sauce on that spot (as per someone's reccomendations) but he just moves on to the next spot, am I suppose to bathe my house in hot sauce. How can i get him to stop doing this. |

| When Layla was little she used to chew on everything too, and of course I couldn't always be there to say NO! So I started using clear deodorant on the things she was chewing... baseboards, table legs, etc. You can't see it, but it's there. She couldn't stand the taste so she left it alone. And now she just knows not to chew on things like that.

| Have you tried bitter apple spray? Mimi use to chew everything including my walls and molding but she stopped that habit after she was 1. I had to spray everything with bitter apple and it worked for us. |

| Tried bitter apple he loves it, tried bengay, but it doesn't last so when it dried up he starts chewing again. Do you use the deodorant spray? I have to try it, right now i have chewed up moldings with a tinge of red on them, so lovely. |

| Layla loved the bitter apple too, she licked it right off. I used just a clear gel deodorant, but I'm sure the spray would probably work the same. With the gel, I just pushed it out the top, wiped it off with a finger, and then with my finger I smoothed it over everything I didn't want her eating!

| Thanks for the tip, I'm going to try that. Hopefully I can get him to stop so i can have my moldings replaced. I'll be sure to put the deodorant on the new ones though. |
