| Pees on pad, but poops on carpet We have had our yorkie bella for about 2 1/2 months. She took to the puppy pads really well, and rarely has an accident when she pees, but poops on the pads only half the time. The rest of the time she poops behind our dining room table. I shampooed the carpet, and tried leaving a pad there, but i don't want to encourage her to poop there. any suggestions? i try to keep her on a schedule, but she is not crate trained and sometimes won't poop til after i leave for work. |

| I don't really have any advice but I wanted you to know that you are not alone and eventually it will get better. Tucker would only pee on the pad, too. Luckily, he knew enough to poop on hardwood or tile floors only, though! Now that he's 99% housebroken, we don't really need to worry about it because he goes outside. Good luck!

| Ugh I have the same problem... Jenny will even poop right next to the pads!!! But refuses to use them for poop. I have tried catching her in the act, scooping up the poop and placing it on the pad, leaving a poop scent ont he pad, making loud noises when she pooped on the carpet, show her the bad poop, and place her ont he pad... None of it has worked. She runs away, hides and poops quickly. But she knows she did a bad poop because she runs to her bed and hides... baaaah. It seems like a lot of pee pad trained yorkies wont poo on the pads too!!!
