| Sleeping in my bed. My Yorkies sleep with me. Katie my 14month old has never ever wet my bed but she was 4.1/2 months when I got her. I go to bed about 8 to 8.30pm and we get up at about 6.30am. Suzi is 14 weeks old. In the middle of the night (when I usually go to the loo) I put her down and she wee's on the pee pad. I just do this once. (She couldn't get up or down on her own) She's then ok til morning. Am I asking for trouble doing this, in that she might get into the habit of weeing in the night. Or as she gets a bit older will she last like Katie does. Would appreciate any comments. Hugs Shirl x x

| With my little one, we had some trouble with weeing in the night, but she never messed in the bed. As she grew she would jump down on her own and then get back into bed, and now she just sleeps through the night. |

| Same with our Annie and Sam. Annie doesn't get up during the night, but Sam jumps down every morning at 5 and goes downstairs and does his thing.

| I got a set of puppy steps when we upgraded our bed to a taller frame. She doesn't need to use them, but she does. And before the steps, she would jump down and then get my attention to let her back up. |

| I don't think you are asking for trouble. Abby has slept with us in our bed since she was a puppy. I kept a potty pad by our bed and just put her on it every time she would wake up and lick my nose. Then as she got older, we got her steps to the bed and she goes down in the middle of the night if she has to go, goes on her pad, then comes back to bed. Now that she is 9 months old, she usually holds it all night. She loves snuggling by us - I love having her in our bed! I think your furbaby will do fine. Good luck! |

| I agree with everyone. I read somewhere that a puppy can hold for as long as they are old (in months). Example, Jack is 5 months old so I figure he can at least hold for 5 hours. But he does sleep through the night just fine with us. Usually if he has to go he will get up and run around. And I can just tell he is not laying by me and I will get up. Usually we encourage him to hold it since we are still potty training him but if he doesn't calm down I take him out. He has never wet the bed (yet) and he's been with us for three weeks. Your puppy may more than likely grow out of it. |
