| How do you feel about this? Man are ya'll going to get tired of me and all my questions. Heck, you probably are and I wouldn't blame you! Ha! O.k. what if I put Mufasa in a xpen/crate during the day when I'm at work and then still let him sleep with me at night? I get up at least once or twice in the night to take him outside to pee. I'm thinking he will know he has to stay in the pen when nobody is there and when we are home he can run around because there will be somebody watching him. He'll associate the pen/crate with nobody being home. How does this sound? Good idea? Bad idea? |

| sounds good to me! that's actually what i do. Kash stays in his ex-pen all day while i'm at work with his covered crate, toys, food/water, and pee pad. when i get home, he is let out and i play with him (or he plays with the cats) until it's time for bed, then he sleeps in my bed with me. he holds his pee through the night. come 6 a.m., it's back to same routine (monday-friday). you have my blessing. lol.

| I work 25 minutes from home so coming home at lunch isn't an option. I think I'm going to baby gate my laundry room so he can still see out and not feel as confined. |

For my girl, we kept her child gated in the kitchen, and worked all day (no crate). She's potty pad trained for during the day. It didn't take to long for her to have the run of the house all day. This is my first Yorkie & I have found they are pretty smart & pick up quickly. Happy training! | |
