| Leaving 2 home alone in same pen I'm wondering at what point it is ok to leave my 2 home alone in the same x-pen. We've had Daisy for 5 days and she and Sophie are getting along much better each day. However, I'm not comfortable about leaving them in the same xpen when I'm gone. Sophie is 5.5 lbs, Daisy is 1.6 lbs. I don't think Sophie would hurt her, but the weight difference bothers me. Should I wait until they get to know each other a little better? Or until their weights are closer? |

| Codie is 8 lbs and when I got Katie she was only 14 ouncez. I left them alone together from day 1 and they're SO close and never hurt each other. Now Katie is full grown 2.6 lbs and still tiny but they are closer than ever! Codie is very gentle with her.

| I think if you don't feel comfortable doing it then don't. I'm sure there will be a point you will feel comfortable and when they time comes I'm sure you will put both yorkies in the same x-pen. |

| My pitbull is 50 pounds and Toffee is 2 pounds, I leave them together all the time in the same pen for hours and it's fine. However, you should always do what makes you comfortable! |

| I have kept Tiny(6 1/2lbs yorkie) with Sake(35lbs border collie) in the same large crate once and it didn't work out. Tiny kept picking on Sake and poor Sake was pushed to the back corner of the crate by mean old Tiny. However, I can crate Sake with Teddy(12lbs yorkie) and they get along fine or I can crate Tiny with Teddy together. Just not Tiny and Sake. I guess Tiny just doesn't like Sake. |

| Thanks for the responses! I know that one day, soon, I will be more comfortable with it. As it is now, Sophie is still a little wary of the new addition. Do you guys try to give your animals any time apart? Or do they seem to want to be together all of the time? I feel like Sophie might need some alone time to deal with the new addition, instead of being constantly with her. But Sophie *seems* to want to be close to her, in a really weird, standoffish kinda way |

| My boys are the same size as yours and I am afraid to leave them together because they both like to wrestle. Lil Bear, who is 5 lbs plays gently but Shado the little 1 lb won't stop attacking. He thinks he's ferocious and just aggravates the dickens out of Bear. They are both very protective of each other.

| Oscar, my yorkie is 9lbs, and Bingley, my toy poodle, is 4lbs. They stay together in the bathroom when I'm at work and they get along great. I was a little nervous the first night, but they were fine. They've been attached at the hip since day one |

| I use 2 crates for mine. They are crated very little but when I do have the need to place them in the crate I put each in their own, secure the door and then turn the facing each other.
