| Peeing on everything Frenchie is almost a year old and is lifting his leg and peeing on everything. Sometimes it's only 2 drops. We have another older male dog in the house. Is this related & if I get him fixed will he stop? |

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | well I dont have any luck with the boys. Both mine wear weenie wraps, unless they go out side. Both mine are fixed too. But, both have mated and we work, so in all fairness perhaps if yours is fixed at an early age it would help. good luck. |

| Well thats why I'm unsure about Studding him. I have been told that causes the marking, but he's already doing that. Thanks for the reply. |

| Neutering early will get rid of the hormones that make him want to mark, so there is a huge chance the marking will at least reduce, if not go away completely. Some dogs develop the habit though and do it regardless. Intact males (and females, for that matter) are tough to care for.

| Ideally neutering is done before they even start marking, but I certainly would try it. Is your other male neutered? Two unneutered males may very likely fight as Frenchie gets older. Using him as a stud will only reinforce marking and other undesirable sex-related behavior. |

| Yes, having two males will make a difference. I had one male and he was pretty good, but when we got the second one the first one started marking (and the second one also). Belly bands work very well for saving your sanity...
