| He keeps pooping in his bed! AHHHH this is driving me nuts! I thought dogs have that cleanliness instinct and do not like to go to the bathroom where they sleep. I have a little 3 1/2 month yorkie and he's very tiny less than 2 pounds still and he poops in/on his bed! I have newspaper out for him to go on and he just has plenty of other FLOOR space to do his stuff but WHY does he do it in his bed?!?! |

My Lil Man! Donating Member | Do you have any other dogs or pets that have laid on the bed before? I dont know that this is it but if you have other pets it could be a scent thing. Like he could be trying to put his scent on the bed without peeing on it or he could simply be saying I dont like this bed. Lol. Im not really sure. Maybe someone else will be able to help you a little more! Goodluck!! |

| No other dog has used the bed before nor do I have another pet with me. So that's not the case. If he doesn't like the bed would he still sleep in it or lounge on it? because he DOES sleep/lay/rest in it. |

My Lil Man! Donating Member | Hmmm...I wouldnt think so unless you dont allow him on the couch/bed or if he cant get to anywhere comfortable except his bed. Im not really sure what to tell you...I really wish I could be of more help. The only time I had a problem with this was after giving Reeses a haircut for the first time and a bath and a nail trim...the whole package. Lol. and he went and pooped on MY bed (which is also his bed for the most part even tho he has his own bed too lol) but I think that was all b/c he was really ticked off at me. Lol. Hopefully someone can give you some better advice. Sorry Im not good help. If you dont hear from anyone tonight...they should definitely be on come morning time. Goodluck!! If I find anything out Ill be sure to let you know ASAP!! |

| I haven't had a Yorkie do this, but my youngest pug, Bentley did for a short time when I first got him. He was about 15 weeks old, and I started him out by crating at night....he did great....progressed to sleeping on his bed in the kitchen (baby gated)....and then all of a sudden he started urinating on his bed every night. I thought maybe I wasn't letting him out early enough, but that wasn't it. I though maybe I wasn't getting it washed out, but completely changing bedding didn't help either. After about 2 weeks, he just stopped. Don't know why...it was like he just all of a sudden grew up. Now that I'm through with this story, I realize it's not very helpful, sorry! lol I guess I just want to let you know that even if you don't figure it out, it might change anyway. |
