| barking and socialization I have only had Remy (4 mos.) since Friday, and things are going ok, but I've noticed that he is REALLY skittish and scared when anyone comes near him/us. Even after my roomates and boyfriend had already held and cuddled him, he would go CRAZY, bark and growl at them a few minutes later. It's like he has multiple personalities. He has an exercise pen to play in while im away during the day, but I am wondering how in the world I am going to "socialize" him while he is a puppy since I have to leave him in the ex-pen during the say? Any advice or helpful hints would be GREATLY appreciated. |

| Hi, does he get any excersise outside of the pen. You need to rake him out for long walks. As far as people entering the home have everyone come in the house do not look at the dog or acknowledge him, out of it's own curiosity the pup should come to check out the person. Once the dog has sniffed around the person in a calm manner than they may acknowledge the puppy in a calm way no high pitched voice that we all tend to get when talking to cute puppies. Hope this helps good luck |

| Have you tried a training class for you little one? I went to a cheep o PetCo class to do some training for my little girl. And to socialize her. She got over her fears quick of other dogs. It may help with her people problems. The trainer that we had had quite a few dogs that wernt people friendly. But got over it after a few classes. Good luck with your pup I hope that helps a little.
