| jealousy over other pets Any ideas on how to treat jealousy. My Bobo who is 1 1/2 years old is sooo jealous of our shi tzu and cat. He loves them and will play with them but if I say anything to either one he will attack them all of a sudden (he doesn't actually bite them only makes a lot of noises and jumps all over them) and only because I paid attention to them. Does any one else's act like this? I guess he is a spoiled rotten guy. I am looking for suggestions on how to handle this. I quess obedience class may be in order for us. Tammy |

| You're are not alone. ...Bella recently started this kind of behavior. Just this past Friday night she was laying at the foot of my bed and saw one of my cats jump onto the bed. My cat wanted some attention and so I was petting her. When Bella saw this she immediately jumped up and ran up to my cat and was growling and snapping at her. I pushed Bella back and said NO! The poor cat ran off and Bella laid down again. Well this whole thing happened again 3 or 4 more times because my cat kept coming back. The last time it happened I blocked Bella with my hand and she tried to jump over my hand. She was so frustrated/upset that she was making this growl/whine kinda noise. Bella has done this to my other dog, Chloe. Chloe can even sense when this is getting ready to happen and will walk away. I guess we are having a change in the pecking order around my home. Bella gets along great with everyone other than these jealousy episodes. I've thought maybe it was due to her age (1 year ) and trying to establish her dominance in the pack (home ). Other than telling her no and I'm not sure what to do about this.

| i too am definetly having jealousy issues with the animals in the house because of the new puppy. but for me it is the opposite. its the other animals that are demanding the attention. my moms dog is depressed and wanders around the house with his head down, and now the cat is trying to physically harm the puppy. its so frustrating!! the puppy doesnt care if shes not getting attention--but everyone else does. its hard because of course the puppy needs a little extra attention.. we are trying to potty train her and teach her stuff, etc. i am trying so hard to make peace. i really dont want to have to lock them all up in separate rooms ugh, i need like a super dog nanny or something to come to this house and make them get along |
