lol.. when she bites you... yelp and then walk away and ignore her.. some people suggest replacing your finger with a toy but i think you are just reinforing the biting by giving her something fun.. but she wil NOT like you ignoring her and the yelping is just mimicking what her little mates would do

I also tap Scrappy on the nose and give him a loud and firm "NO"! Then stop playing for a couple minutes.

When Teddy bites I use my hands to "close" his snout while saying in a firm and deeper voice, "NO TEETH." When I let go he will automatically try to bite again but I say in the same voice as before, "NO TEETH" and he will lick me instead! Then I hug him, reward him, and say, "Thank you for the kisses!" This has proven to work about 85% of the time. But then again, Teddy is only 3 months old so I believe his progress is great for such a young pup!

A little insight I have this same problem. My vet advised me when our pets do this, they are still trying to find their placement in the family. Biting is what they know, so if they can get away with it biting you, they thing themselves superior. He told me a little tap would do, nothing to hurt them, but a tiny tap on the nose and a stern NO. It may take awhile, but soon they will learn there place. I'm working on mine too, she still bites, but not as hard. Lots of patience! -Meeshy

| it'll pass! einstein is 8 months old now and he has stopped biting. but trust me, he seemed like a carnivore before!!! if he didn't get to bite me he'd start barking in the most annoying way. if you have the sour apple spray, spray some on your hands. puppies also hate the taste of lotion haha. and the kong to distract him - freeze some peanut butter in there. good luck!!

Mine was quite the biter too, not so bad now but when she bites I press down on the top of her tongue with a finger and that stops the biting right away. Sounds odd but it works with her.
