| Eating pee pad & baking soda Ok i have a problem. My roxie loves to tear apart her pee pads while im gone, if im around she wont touch it but once i leave the room she is tearin away. She loves bitter apple spray and would drink it if she could, so how to keep her from doing this is my concern. Also, with most pee pads containing active baking soda, if she swallowed any could it react with her stomache acid like it does with vinegar causing bad gas and bloating? Thank you for any input |

| Try different pads. Chloe chewed up every pad until I got her Centinella Pet and Feed Stores house brand pads. She hasn't chewed one up. |

| Invest in some washable PeePads. I did & will never go back to Newspaper or disposable PeePads. You will save money in the long run & No more shreaded pads or newspaper!!!!! http://www.personallypaws.com/

I agree. Washable pads are the best! No more pad confetti at my house!

| I got some one time from Target, can't remember what brand they were, but at the time 2 of mine were chewing them up, so switched to drsfostersmith.com the xtra piddle pads..My sons puppy was not actually chewing them up(6 mos old yorkie), but, he was actually digging at them so they were getting torn up..My hubby said leave a radio on for him while ya'll are gone, so, they started doing that about 2 weeks ago, and he hasn't torn up one since |

| Okay don't laugh but I leave the TV on when I'm gone and they hear the noise. Not that they are watching it but the noise is usually on when I'm home so figured if they heard it they might not be so concerned that I wasn't home. Mine only tear them up if they are bored.

| We got an Iris pee pad holder. It's molded plastic and the sides snap down over the pee pad edges, so our furbaby can't rip it apart anymore. |

| I recommend the pee pad holder (plastic) Our male yorkie always ripped his pad to shreds until we got the holder! It works!! |

I have one like this that I don't need anymore. Training pad holder.jpg I would be willing to sell it for $10 including shipping and paypal fees. http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...amily&keepsr=1

| I also have this one that I would sell for $7, including shipping and paypal fees. This one is easier to use because you don't have to take it all apart to change pads like the one listed previously. http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...amily&keepsr=1 If you are using paper pads the frames definitely do help, but they are not foolproof. Some dogs will still get the pads out with any kind of frame/holder.

| Washable pads?!?! I have a question that may sound dumb, but wouldn't the washable pads teach them that it is okay to go on blankets?? I use a few horse blankets as rugs in my house (they are made like the washable pads). I would be afraid that my Bucky would mistake my rugs for his pads Do you think that would be a issue or am I just being paranoid? Thanks for any input! |
