| I have a problem...please help!!! We all know the guilty look that our furbabies give us....right? Well, Buddy has had free run of the house for about 8 months (he is 15 months old) because he is completely house trained so he earned this right. (he rarely has accidents or bothers anything) Well, the last several mornings when I return from taking my son to school (gone for about 15 minutes) ...I walk in and Buddy has that "I am guilty look"....we all know it ....ears back hiding under a chair. BUT I cannot figure out what he is guitly of. (besides the other morning when I posted about him eating the waffles & sausage while I was gone) He has to be peeing or pooping somewhere but I CANNOT find it. This is going to cause my house to stink soooooo bad if I do not figure it out. Does anyone have any suggestions? Note: As always, he is peeing and pooping outside immediately after he awakes each morning. Then I leave about 30 minutes later to take son to school. Normally, he does not need to potty again for hours. Note: I do not take him with me because he hates car rides. What do I do?

| Is the volume of his pee and doodies normal? If so, I might not give as much thought to this whole thing. He could be going under the bed? That's always a fun place. Maybe try closing doors to other rooms in the house, or restricting him to one room until you narrow it down. Mogli had this guilty as sin look, sometimes he got that look when he had an upset tummy ... he just knew messing in the house was bad ... but puking or sick tummy was so sad ... couldn't be mad at him! Could also be some type of separation anxiety? He's still pretty young ... Other animals present to bully up on him? A few thoughts off the top ... |

Thanks for your thoughts. I trained him to not go upstairs where all the bedrooms are so he never goes to that area. However, it crossed my mind that he might be feeling guilty for going up the stairs so I have started closing all the bedroom doors in the event he has been going up there. I don't think he is sick because he quickly recovers from this "guilty look" after I return. (only after some TLC) NOTE: Every time I leave and return he is bouncing off the walls when I return EXCEPT when I return from carpool each morning. This is the ONLY time he acts this way. As for separation anxiety, he has never had an issue with this. We have no other pets so no bully is around to bother him. Thank you for helping me work through this. I truly think he is potting somewhere but I cannot figure out where. I have hardwood floors on the entire first floor but I also have area rugs everywhere so it is hard to cover every inch searching for wet spots. Thanks again for your thoughts!!!

| I know that guilty look very well. Rhonda, pick up the throw rugs and look underneath for a stain. If Buddy pottied there it would show. Maybe he just was thinking about it and felt guilty |

| I have no ideas on where to look but maybe you can leave him one morning confined to one room and see how he reacts when you get home? that way you know where to look (the room he's in) and you can see if his mood is still the same when you get home?
