| Grrr...Poopies on the pad but pee-pee on the side LOL...well after 2 months of almost no pee pee accident Maximus has started peeing on the side of the pad at least 1x a day...and the irony is he is now pooping directly on the pad..complete 360..and I don't know what to do...lol, I think I should of stopped complaining about the poo because it's so much easier to clean up then the pee half on and half off...do you think this could be some form of marking?...He will be neutered soon.. probably in a month and I was wondering if this is him beginning to mark his territory or just regression?...He is 5 months and 4.5 lbs....and is really good about going over to the pad...just all of a sudden he doesn't go to the middle ...lol..and I have been changing them after every pee..because I thought maybe that was bothering him but nope...I am going insane..lol

| LOLOL so cute! My Codie sometimes misses the pad and gets the very edge of it! Maybe their aim is off!

| I always say Tucker's intentions are good but his aim is terrible! At least he has the idea, are you using the large pads, maybe he is getting too big, and when he stands where he was used to standing his butt is too far over?

| You might try a wall to wall wee wee pad. He can't miss then.

| Reagan, although she's a gal, would start out in the middle then walk all around while still going and lord only knows where she'd finish. You may try putting the pad in some sort of box. I used a box that you would store sweaters and such under the bed that I got a walmart. I believe they even have boxes especially for pads at petsmart but I'm not positive. Anyway this may help him know where exactly the pad ends and he will have to stay in that area.

| Lol, mine's the opposite too! He may be starting to mark though. It's a random thought but when Linus started to lift his leg and go, he started to go in the corners and his aim got horrible for a while. It's gotten a little better, but I couldn't figure out anything to fix it so I just waited it out. Sorry I couldn't help more.

| I was giving "better" treats for the poop when he got it directly on the pad (like deli meat..little piece)...he got that and now all of a sudden starting peeing on the side...BUT thankfully he is now heading back to the center!!-

| General Patton does the same. He is pretty good(for the most part), but sometimes he misses the mark. I think its a problem with the boys. What do the rest YT members who have male yorkies think?

| Mya had been very very good at peeing on her pee pad and pooping. I now have the piddle pads on a boot tray and if I forget to put a new pad down she will go on the tray. Now yesterday at 20 weeks old she had a pissy day. LOL We started walking her and my older dog separately because she was still pulling his lead. The this morning I woke up to find the 13 yr old who was always house trained peed in the house ! That Little Green Machine got a work out. Today and this evening both have been fine, asking to go out and Mya using her pad. I was wondering if had to do with the heat and them drinking a lot yesterday. Or it could be because we broke the routeen/schedule for them *shrug*

| the misguided aim with the poop is definately a problem with the boys, i guess its because they move around a little while doing the deed, but rewarding them for doing it right is definately the way to go. thanks luzangela428. |
