Cingular Cell Phone or Unlocked phone

Hello I am in need of a phone, most of you know that i had my purse stolen friday and my husbands phone was in there, and so know he wants a new phone but i do to but he needs one more than i do. i am looking for like an locked sidekick since i think t mobile carired those only but something of that sort, like blackberry, or world phone, or the blackjack and so i am looking for something of that sort that works, if you guys see or hear or have one please let me know, if not we will like another razr or something of that sort, i think my husband hates samsungs, but any one with a cingular phone let me know thanks

I just bought a gold razor on ebay as I was not due for an upgrade thru Cingular. I LOVE my new phone. It actually sounds better than any phone I have had yet. I paid $112 for it. I also bought a 3 year Square Trade warranty.

I am an avid ebay shopper. You just have to be careful, read their feedbacks, make sure they have been doing business for awhile and have built a good reputation. Read through all their fine print, some are reconditioned, some are used, some are new in the original box. Some may come programmed for another country (but are easy to change). Prices go up drastically in the last few minutes of a sale. I found early morning was the best time to bid --less competition. But a good deal can be found just about any time. Good luck if you decide on ebay or find another source.

If you buy on ebay .....a cell phone, does it have to be the same style of phone that you already have???? Or can I just change the sim card inside the phone and pic any style phone I want to buy?????

you dont have to buy the same phone, you switch your sims card. however, the only thing that will be transfered to your new phone will only be what is on your sims card.

I just bought a Samsung D807 from Ebay, it is one of Cingulars newer phones. We paid $135 for it! Its Great! Love the phone.

First of all, do you have Cingular Insurance? It's $4.99 a month extra. See if
it's on your bill. Second, if you do, call 800-331-0500 and tell Customer Svc.
you need a new phone. If you're out of contract, they will probably give you
a Razr or only charge $50 with Insurance coverage. The Blackjack is a Samsung phone, Sidekicks are email devices for t-mobile, and Blackberries
do work on Cingular, but you pay extra for the Blackberry email service.
It's tricky to buy from ebay. Since you lost the phone, with the SIM card in it,
you have to go back to Cingular for a new SIM anyhow. It runs about $20.
It would probably be better to go to a warehouse club like Costco or SAM's
and let them handle the whole thing. They are cheap and get around all

Just wondering.....

And also if you buy a different cell phone that does not go with your company you need to make sure its unlocked to use your current sim card but even then all the features may not work.

i have another sim card all ready

i had upgraded back in november from my razr to the push to talks but we didnt like them so they went back to the razrs and got rid of our samsung oush to talks but i had the sim cards that came withthe new phones left over

so i reactivated that for free if it hasnt all ready been activated then you can always activate it so he put it in one of our old phones but the phone stinks, so i have tried ebay but i posted here becuase its so much quicker, but yeah i ended up buying a hot pink new razr for myself for 45 and then my hubs got a new silver razr

yeah i like the sidekick and teh blackberry, and yes i would need them for email otherwise i wouldnt want a huge honker of a phone around me

but i get my email now on my razr so i though they they are like the best phones so i just bought a new one but pink now

and ill contiue getting them

yes i like the samsung blackjack

i likes that becuase it has the mp3 in it

i buy phones for my work all the time so i see them all and know them all
and i program the backberrys and such for them here so i know all about these phones

and i like that
