| Condo (3BR) on Maui - Feb 3-10, 2008 Many of you know that we have frequently visited Maui as well as other Hawaiian Islands. We have a time-share condo on Maui (an every-other-year plan). 2008 is our year and we have the week booked. Unfortunately, the hubby was laid-off in September and our MI economy is terrible and there have been no job prospects. Our loss could be your gain. The condo is booked (Sands of Kahana) in Kahana, Maui for the week of Febrary 3-10 (checking in & out on Saturday). This is PRIME whale watching, peak vacation season on Maui. Our 3BR, 2BA condo is oceanfront with private balcony, fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer in the unit. The complex has four buildings, covered parking, two pools, a hot tub, sand volleyball court, restaurant, workoutroom, courtyard grills, courtyard putting green and koi pond. These units typically rent for $300-500 a night. We are willing to let this week go for $1300. Whales can be seen actively frolicking just by sitting on the shoreline!! Can provide lots of photos to serious inquiries. Please PM if interested.

| I'd love to take you up on that deal, but unless they start letting us take our fur babies, we won't be going. That's a very nice deal your offering. |

| Jodie, that's a really great deal. But I'm sorry to hear that your hubby is layed off. I think the economy is really bad in a lot of places. Good Luck on renting your condo and with your hubby getting another job.

| It really varies. From Detroit, you can pay anywhere from $700-$1000 for the round-trip flight depending on which airline and the flight pattern. Direct flights are always more expensive and for whatever reason, there are certain stopover points that are less expensive. The flight we've had most often is on NW from Detroit to San Francisco to Honolulu to Maui (or San Francisco to Maui).

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hmmmm....is it oceanview? What floor? Some of the reviews on Trip Advisor said the AC wasn't so good - do you know if the unit you're talking about has AC in the bedroom? Otherwise, my hubby would never sleep, he's a heater!

I think the timeshare units are a little different than the standard rentals, as all of them are standardized. Individual rentals are owned independently and the unit can have anything in it or nothing at all. We have stayed here 4 times now and have not been disappointed.
