| Ice Cubes Hi There! I discovered that Bella LOVES ice cubes and they keep her busy for a long time. Only problem is they are so messy, melting all over the house! I read somewhere that dipping a cloth in chicken or beef broth and freezing it is also a good toy/treat alternative. Anyone tried this?

| Yep, our girls love ice cubes too... I haven't tried the frozen broth thing...but wouldn't that be more of a mess? ~Marly |

| Jaxon loves the ice cubes too. Although he figures that ANYTHING that drops onto the floor is a treat and he'll take off with it in a flash!! I don't really mind the little wet spots from the ice cubes - it could always be worse.

Why don't you just freeze a wet washcloth? I used to do that for my kids when they were little (teething)and it wouldn't make a mess all over your house. Michele & Bailey

| Does anyone have Sonic Drive Ins close to them? Fancy LOVES their ice!! It's crushed and just not as hard as some. You can also buy it by the bag which is what I do since both of us like it.

| Mojo and the big dogs love ice.......just to play w/ or try to get out of their water. I have never frozen the broth, but the wash cloth idea sounds good. Oh..........Sonic ICE..........it's the best ever!!! AND I just about fell over when I realized that you could buy it by the bag.....I found that out over the summer and LOVE IT!!! We always order a small ice water for Mojo every time we go there!

I use homemade fat free chicken and beef broth to make popsicles for my kids. They love them and what a GREAT summer treat! I've never tried the cloth idea, though.

| Maddie is addicted to crushed ice. We have a yogurt store here that has the good crushed ice and that is what I craved when I had Lexi (who is now 2) We will make a special trip out at night just to get ice from the yogurt store. My hubby thinks we are all crazy. Lexi would rather have a cup of ice instead of the yogurt or icecream. Lauryn (my 13yr old) is addicted and so am I. Now.....We've gotten poor Maddie addicted too. I've never tried the frozen broth. I think it would be too messy?? |
