Everyone here is welcome to the Yorkie's First Annual Christmas Party get-together....

Please see the thread by LuvMySissy, or PM Jodie at her message box. Lots of fun things to do and great door prizes. Christmas parade, a photographer (related to Jodie) will be here and offer packages at great prices to anyone interested. Diane from Yorkie Fantasy will be here as well with samples of her clothing. We will have an ornament exchange for HUMANS and a gift exchange for YORKIES, for those that want to participate. Our potluck dinner will be quite a variety... Hungry yet? let us know

so come! , for you it would be a 12 hour drive I drive back every 2 months to see & help my G'ma. She loves my girls but calls them cats (she is senile & when I was growing up had shepards)
where in NY are you? I am orginally born/raised in New York. Howard Beach is where I was rasied, my G'ma still lives in Richmond Hill which has gotten pretty bad. My sister moved out to Ronkonkoma, Long Island. I worked as a teen/early adult at Rockefella Center as a secretary for a japanese textile firm, then moved to Michigan temporaily to get married, never got to go back home to live until 1985, (husband with broken promises!) then wanted back here because of the size of the backyards and the property values. I came back in 1986 and stayed and raised my kids here!

I don't know that area well, but if we get together here & do a direction guide, I will. I like to make a road trip out of it when I drive east. Last time I drove through Canada, I stopped off in Deposit, New York to see my brothers new house. It was the same distance for me to drive, just through Canada instead of through Michigan, Ohio, Penn, New Jersey then N.Y. If I do that, I will stop by somewhere, get rest and let the girls recoup from the car ride, then we can spend time together, then I will continue on to G'mas, OR if something happens where I have to get to G'mas fast, I can do the reverse or else maybe make a day out of it and take G'ma for a ride. I don't know how far Albany area is from her house, I'll have to check it out.

PS where did you live before the Saratoga area?

At Sissy's house where we left pills in a briefcase on the floor BUT I promise, the house is baby proofed now

I am in Michigan 48124 zip. Will send you all the info if you want to check it out with Mapquest. Jodie's quest room is taken but mine is still available if you want to spend the night as well. Driving a long distance isn't so far if you break up the drive. (I drive back & forth to NY every few months - I know)

Yes, please come!!!! I can't imagine the drive being much more than 2 hours from Northern Ill.

I drove almost 2 hours to get to the October Michigan Meet-up. It was sooooo much fun, I'd do it again in a heartbeat!!!
