| Ummmm.........what do they play with? Hey guys, You guys seem to know more about Yorkies than I do, so I will ask you all for some advice! What toys to Yorkies enjoy playing with? Right now, we have those rope toys for her...she seems to enjoy it......but we bought balls, and toher toys and she doesn't seem to care for them. Is she bored? |

| What you do not want them to have is what they love to play with LOL. My boys were not interested in balls until they were about 8 months old. I gave them some old shoes which they loved, they love stuffed animals, ropes, dentabones, hard plastic squeaky toys, and anything they are not supposed to have. They love to drag my clean laundry around the house, they love to get into my purse and especially like credit cards and paper money, they have been known to eat a five dollar bill. They also like to pull the tp off the roll, hence the bathroom door is now closed all the time. They love to play with the cat's ears and tail, in short anything that interests them at that moment. I have been frustrated at times, spending extra money on new toys that sit there for months until one of them "discovers" it and then they both want it. Last night, Benni had the frisbee and Garret wanted it, Gar sat and cried and whined and begged and pleaded to have it, Benni was not giving it up no way. Benni was sitting on a small throw rug I have in the living room, Garret finally got upset enough that he put his mouth on the rug and pulled it out from under Benni tipping him over and with Garret gettign the frisbee and running and hiding under the bed, boy was Benni mad!! They are always getting into something. When I first got them, they got in the bottom linen closet and tore up 35 rolls of tp out of a 36 pack, boy was that fun LOL |

| Lily gets a real kick out of things that squeek. What a joy for me. She also particularly likes Barbies. She carries them around by the hair. Mostly she doesn't have a lot of dog toys, they are all to big for her. She has may be a half dozen mice (cat toys). Those are probably her favorite.

| My little one loves plastic water bottles (i take them away quickly after theyre worn b/c it can be dangerous to her) and she loves shoes (when she can find them, we usually keep them up) and her "babies" all of her stuffed annimals...her rope, and her squeaky monkey is her new favorite toy. Im planning on getting that vibrating ball from petsmart, I think she'll love it! |

| I know this probably sounds silly, but maybe you can take Elbow with you to Petsmart and let her browse through the toy section. Maybe you can squeek a few toys or something and she will kinda "pick out what seems to interest her". There are also small Kong toys, hard rubber that has holes you can fill with goodies. Peanut butter, cheese, doggie treats etc. Then of course she will find all the forbidden unsafe things within your house too that she will want as her favorite, LOL Good luck!

You all made me laugh a bunch with the silly toys that your doggies love.....hehehe..just like kids...you buy them something..and they would rather play with the box! =) I especially love milliecorales' dog....I can't believe she eats your money and your credit cards! | Sophie LOVES squeak bones...she's killed the squeaker on quite a few, but we just keep buying them. She also likes those stuffed fabric rings...we call them donuts. We got her two of those bungie-type stuffed lizard toys which also have a squeaker in them, but she insisted on giving them eyebrows by chewing the fuzz off...so no more of those, little girl! She loves her stuffed elephant, and you should see her dragging around her "prey" which is almost the same size as Sophie (who now weighs 5.5 lbs)... She's pretty strong for a little munchkin. |
