| kong sqeaker balls Has anyone had issues with your dogs pulling the plastic squeaker piece out of their Kong squeaker balls lately? I have a minpin that has allways loved those balls. He pulls the fuzz off but doesn't eat it and they're his absolute favorite, so I just keep buying him more, but the last pack I got he pulled the squeaker out of them within a hour of giving them to him. I was wondering if maybe they changed the way the squeakers went in or something. I don't remember them having a little ledge on them before. I was thinking about getting yumi (yorkie puppy) some of the extra small ones but if they come apart like that now I'm not sure its worth the risk.... |

| Might be a good idea to let the manufacturer and the store where you purchased them know about this...

| Yes, maybe it's a one-off bad batch? I always buy these for Harry - they're his best toy in the world - but we have never had that problem! They're a lot more expensive than the 'normal' ones - so I'd definately let the manufacturer know...after all, they are meant for dogs.... |

| Those are my little fetchaholic Rory's favorite balls. I've had that problem, but she really works the squeaker when we are playing fetch. Some packs of balls last longer than others. Usually, the squeaker actually falls into the ball, so you hear it rattle around and not squeak. If I notice the squeaker starting to poke out I just toss it, and she has to suffer through fetch without any squeaking until it's time to replace that ball. My girls are so fetch obsessed I can't just leave their balls mixed in with their toys in their toyboxes. They only get to play fetch with their balls for 30 minutes straight down our long hallway every night, so they are never really just unattended to chew on them. Poor pups have to suffer and play fetch with one of their zillion other toys during the day when the balls are up out of reach. Fetch Maniacs - YouTube

| I've had the problem as well. My Daisy loves balls of all kinds, so ditching them was easy. Now she plays with a stuffed ball most of the time and I take a regular tiny tennis ball out only if we are playing fetch and don't leave them out. She skins them and I actually had to pull the yellow tennis ball part out of her throat once and I got nervous leaving them out.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I always had problems w/ Wylie (our biggest one) getting the squeaker out, or killin' the squeaker. About 6+ mths ago, I got the balls sold by AllDogBoots - and they are STILL totally intact. They're really quite awesome. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...dog-boots.html

Yes, Harry has managed to remove the squeaker from his Kong squeaky balls - 2 of them - in the last week! Did you ever contact the manufacturer? I think I will... Sally x

| The last couple packs I've bought of the Kong Squeakers have been "killed" by Princess in minutes. And the squeaking is what really gets her going, so the ball is then useless. She's had these since I got her 2 years ago & never killed them all in minutes like lately. I think they're just cheaper now. The same for the Cuz ball that she loves. I've bought a couple from Toplinepet (mimimomo) & they lasted forever. Then I bought one at the pet store & she killed it in minutes. It's made cheaper & doesn't squeak as well either. As stated above, the squeaker balls sold by Karen at Alldogboots.com are the ones Princess never tires of.

Betty Boop has had 4 for a long time. It was my fault they quit squeaking. I kept stepping on them. They are her favorite toy.

The squeakers however don't last long in these balls but I've never had it where they could pull the squeakers out. I am always buying more.

| Princess is among the fetch obsessed as well...when I really don't want to play I distract her while my dd puts the balls in the refrigerator! It's the only place she can't sniff them out...so far.

I didn't contact the manufacturer but I told the people at the store. Looks like there's a place on their website to email them. I guess I'll stop putting it off :P
