| Laser pointer obsession Does anyone play with a laser pointer with their yorkie? I do and all we have to say is "do u want your LP?" she goes crazy and it's great exercise... She will run for A LONG time. She loves it! I think since they were bred to chase rats and to see their res eyes, i think it's in their blood. Does anyone else do this?! |

| Fergie goes nuts! She loves her laser! If I open the drawer where we keep it she starts wagging her tail like crazy. She even knows it's in your and hand will sit and wait for you to turn it on. Still no matter what she will chase it until her tongue drags the ground. I put the laser on DH leg and she bites it like a snake striking. So funny.

| I feel bad saying this but I had to take Princess's beloved LP permanently! She was truly obsessed, she would not eat, sit, play, sleep-NOTHING! If it was out she was begging me to play it, loudly. If I put it away she'd sniff it out & go to that spot & bark. So to answer yes we've played it & both loved it but one of us loved it too much.

| That's so sad... I hope Bailey never gets to that point. I think it's starting though, she wont come inside if we play with it outside in the yard. We have to go get her. She refuses to come in! But it gets her tired! |

| Connor is obsessed, too! We call it "Red Spot" and have to spell it, or he'll just sit and quiver and whine until one of us produces it! He will literally chase it until he just about passes out. |

| The boy bought me a flash light that has an LCd light, strobe function and lazer pointer for when I was pregnant and had edema so bad I often had my feet up walking the dogs was out...so instead they ran like wild beast after that lazer pointer-best toy they have ever gotten used it today as a matter of fact. We started out with a cheapo one made for pets that had like a cover that rotated and made 5 designs-it was from Walgreens after #4 or 5 in two months he got me the flashlight. It's definitely worth getting a quality one-doesn't have to be pricy.

| We tried, but Bella wanted nothing to do with it after the first few minutes. As soon as she figured out it wasn't something 'tangible', she was over it. |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Just a caution, be sure not to point that laser light anywhere near their eyes! And a true story: My first trainer Mike, also rescued working dogs. Well this is about a young adult Rottie, that the owners gave up to Mike, because they couldn't be bothered with their dog anymore. All they ever did to give that dog exercise was...yup you guessed it... chase that laser. It was a crying shame, to see that Rottie just standing all by himself in the big outdoors, ignoring people and dogs, and when the sun cast a shadow only then was he animated enough to go run over to check the shadow. It took nearly 2 years of being at Mike's, going out in the training field every day, being around lots of other people, and dogs, when finally one day, when we arrived he came over to greet Magic and me. I had tears in my eyes, finally that big fella gave up his obsession. Be careful with creating obsessions.

| laser pointer<cat<yorkie :) mine are pretty uninteresed in the laser pointer itself BUT the fun comes when my roommates cats chase the laser pointer and Somi will chase the cats. the cats never get tired of the pointer even when th fat one starts wheezing (poor fat kitty) and somi rarely ever gets tired of chasing the cat.

| Gypsy loves the laser pointer... Although, honestly, my two toddler boys like it just as much.... Hehe, funny how much kiddos are like our pets and vice versa
