| Toys that I don't have to throw? Mr. Big has a ton of toys that he wants me to throw. He is VERY persistant at trying to get us to throw his toys. I can't spend every minute that I'm home playing catch with my dog. Any suggestions of toys that he might play with on his own? He doesn't just want us to throw balls rubber toys. He wants us to throw everything, stuffed toys, no stuffing toys, rubber toys, you name it. |

| Maybe...some bully sticks, kongs, you can put cheese or peanut butter in them and freeze it...keeps my kid busy when I need to clean or just be on the computer..lol or you could try other toys like the Egg Babies and the Hide a bee or squirrel...my pups love them. I order my Egg babies from a YT member...here is the link, there is a video that show you how the Egg Babies work...and Here are what the hide a bee or squirrel...they are very cool...the Egg Babies come with 5 squeaker eggs 3 already in the toy and 2 attached for replacement Check it out http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-shipping.html here are pictures of the hide a squirrel and bee...and one of the egg babies...but the link about show you how they work and the hide a squirrel and bee are pretty much the same...good luck...I order my hide a bee and squirrel online.

| A Tug-a-Jug, Buster Cube, or other toys similar to that are good interactive toys that you don't throw. The dogs pulls on it or rolls it around, and it spits out a few kibbles at a time. It takes a little while to teach them how to use it. |

| Kong makes a lot of interactive toys. I use the regular classic Kong and put some kibble in it and 'seal' it with his wet food then freeze it. It keeps him entertained for a bit. Frozen yogurt is also okay, just make sure it's plain and non fat, many use Greek yogurt. Kong has other things as well. Nina Ottosman has a lot of different dog puzzles to keep them entertained too. Or you could make something like this LOL!!!

Thor's Human Donating Member | I really like Nina Ottosman's toys, and have found them superior to similar toys. Thor is not super-persistent with figuring stuff out, so I had to help him to keep him interested in his N.O. toy, and now he can get all the treats out in about ten minutes. That's really his maximum level of patience, though. He is unusual in that he doesn't like bones or anything that doesn't yield its treasures up right away. I think another dog would stay engaged for at least 30 minutes. These toys are also good because they give the dog a mental workout.

| I'd definitely look into puzzle toys and any type of toy he can pull things out of (the egg ones, hide-a-squirrel). Kong also used to make a product that was electronic and had a timer you could set to dispense toys.. It would dispense the toys by itself. I don't know if they make it anymore, but it might be worth looking into!

| I feel your pain... Mine are constantly wanting to play fetch. And its so hard to disappoint them when they sit there and look at you with those big brown eyes. Even more when my female starts her high pitched 90 dB bark of terror. I suppose I could do a better job of training her to stop the barking, but that also takes a great amount of effort, so we have reached an agreement. It's just easier for me to command her to sit and shut up. If she does that for like 10 seconds, then I give in and toss the toy. And I feel vindicated. But I would be interested in a STURDY electric toy that would move by itself and actually hold up to an aggressive Yorkie attach. I am not a big fan of the toys with the food inside. |

| The best toy ever! Amazon.com: Dog Life Comfy-Fleece Rope Disc Dog... You can or cannot throw it, personally Jackie O prefers it to be not thrown. What I do with it is slip my foot in on one end and then just shake/shuffle my foot around and every once in a while I step on the squeaker. Sometimes I pick it up and throw it. Its a great toy to use when you want to occupy her but not really pay attention to her. I use it when eating, cooking, cleaning, or sometimes I just to keep an eye on her like when I think she might go potty on the carpet instead of the pee wee pad. Shes obsessed with it. The other problem I do have with it is that its made of sherpa. The sherpa usually comes off while in play, but Jackie O won't eat it so its not a problem for us. Enjoy not throwing this toy. |

| Egg babies! Yeah yeah! My big boy LOVES those... or the hide a squirrel! He will work at taking the eggs out (or the squirrels) and then I stuff them back in and give it back to him and he'll go nuts trying to get them out. Usually he'll get 1 out, squeak it for 20 mins, then move on to the next one and the next one! Hes too funny! With these toys you can buy replacement parts too!

| Barkley does the same exact thing. He wants us to throw EVERYTHING, all the time. Hide-a-squirrels didn't help because he gets them out in 3 seconds and guess what he wants us to do then? LOL What we did, was buy him a bigger stuffed animal, almost his size, and have refused to throw it. He got the hint and now knows that's a toy to play with by himself. He still brings us stuff to throw but at least he occupies himself some of the time, with that toy.
