| skins everthing When I pick up dog food I always look around at the toys to see if maybe they have "just one" that Widget can't destroy or at least takes a while to destroy. I have yet to find one. He takes great pleasure in unstuffing all the toys and chewing up anything rubber. I found a leather toy yesterday and thought there is no way he can rip this apart. It took all of 5 minutes for him to chew off a piece and pull the stuffing out. It is such a waste of money to buy him anything to play with but it is so funny to watch him destroy the toys. When I bring some new one home I put them on my bed in the shopping bag and he just tears them to bits starting with the bag they are in. I feel so bad for my other yorkie who never gets any toys to play with. I even get the tuff material ones and he still chews thru them. |

| have you tried toys w/o stuffing? What about rope toys? and last but not least have you tried getting a kong and filling it with peanut butter to tempt him and allow your other dogs play time? I have a JRT that also tears up all kinds of toys. She too likes to tear the stuffing out of anything with stuffing. While she does tear up rope toys too it takes her several weeks to do so. We found a kong several years ago and at first filled it with peanut butter but now i stick in Ice cubes with veggies in them. She loves it. We stopped with the PB after she put on too much weight and we put her on a special diet a little over a year ago. We had to re-evaluate her treats and that happened to be one to go. |

Have you tried the fake fur toys without the stuffing? They are called MINI SKINNEEZ. Mine has kept her's intact for more than a month now. So I bought an extra one, while the other one is in the wash I have seen two different brands at 3 local stores and they come in a variety of animals and 2 sizes. These are her favorite right now, she can sqweek them to her hearts content and play tug of war with them. No stuffing in these at all! Yes, mine eats anything made out of leather, so I am carefull with those. I just make sure she doesn't get hold of the squeekies when the toy looks like it is time to throw it out before it becomes hazardous. She loves hooves, but hubby hates the smell of it while she is chewing it. Last edited by Abby08; 05-14-2010 at 04:14 PM. | |

| I too would recommend the skinneez. I love those for my two. Granted my two have the squeakers unsqueakable in a day, but the actual toy stays in tact. Its nice to not have to go around and pick up bits of stuffing.

| Have you tried the Kong Wubba? That is Roxie's favorite and it stands up her tugging and chewing really well. It seems to have really strong seams. It comes in all different colors and sizes and doesn't have any stuffing.

| I agree with those who have recommended Skineez and Kongs. Levi is a chewer/toy destroyer/wild man and both Skineez and his kong can withstand his playfulness better than any other toys I have found.
