| Non edible chews? Barney is recovering from pancreatitis and is no longer allowed to have any chew items like bully sticks or anything else. He loves to chew - we get him the flexible nylabones (dinosaurs, etc) but he seems to love new things. Anyone have any ideas? It cannot be anything that is edible.

| Have you tried Kongs? you can stuff whatever you would have fed him for breakfast and dinner inside and then he gets to chew but isnt eating anything different then he would have anyway! I have also seen these toys at petsmart that are rubber on one side and you add water and freeze, so one side is ice and the other is rubber, so technically the one side is edible but your pup is just eating water! Like this, but I have seen smaller versions at the store: Buy Aspen Pet Dozilla Dog Toy, Large Deep Freeze Bone Online at drugstore.com

| Yeah we've had kongs but he seems to really like to chomp. Maybe I can make some de-fatted chicken broth or even use some fat free stuff and dilute it and try that frozen bone. He might like that.

| How about antlers? I don't think it has any fat...it lasts a long time. Mine are all chewers, except Mimi & they also like the orka mini chew. They haven't made a dent in it...Princess has some strong jaws lol.

| Are even the Himalayan chews out of the question? How about antlerz?

| Yes, Himalayans are out of the question. I will try the frozen bone and the Orka chew. He does like those henrietta toys and other latez like Cuz but as soon as he rips out the little squeaker, it joins the pile with the antlers and he has no interest. Keep the ideas coming

| Yorkie Toy Advice! My yorkie, Lil man, is fixated on toys that squeak. He will pay with his little squeaky ball for hours. Its a little annoying with the squeaking noises but so very cute! Get your puppy used to the toy by squeaking it above him and not giving the toy to him until he goes nuts! lol They throw it and he will go running for it. After a while you can eventually take out the squeaky noise and the toy still works the same. When he is done with his toys, I would suggest picking them all up and not leaving them out. That way the next time he sees the toy, its always like a big surprise! Anyway I hope that helps.. |

| Darwin, our Yorkie, loves to chew on the largest size of Nylabone that belongs to our 115 pound dog. You may not be able to put a small amount of peanut butter on it, but Darwin will sit there and chew for a long time with or without the peanut butter. Good luck! |
