| Perfect toy for yorkies!! I know this may sound dumb, but it is my life saver. Everyone knows that yorkies are extremely hyper at times. I mean that's no surprise. Sometimes Tinker wants to play when I am tired so one day I took a shoe lace and tied it around a tiny tennis ball ( the ones that are yorkie sized. they are small enough to fit in their mouths). I can be sitting down and fling that sucker around, and Tinker goes absolutely nuts. Sometimes I stand and fling it back and forth in the living room. She sprints all around to try and get it, and in the process it wears her out in like 5 or 10 min. It is kind of like playing keep away. I mean have y'all ever thrown the ball and then they just stare at you with it in their mouth like you are supposed to chase them? Well, sometimes you can't chase them, and this is the perfect way that benefits everyone. I know it sounds simple, but seriously try it one time I promise it will be a hit!! |

| I tied a ball on to a plastic stick and taped over the knots so it would stay better. That way, I can sit in my chair and run that ball all over the place and she will follow it. They can be pests wanting you to play with them and it seem more so when you are tired! |

| I have taken those same "Yorkie sized" tennis balls and stuck them into a knee high stocking. You tie a knot at the end where the ball is. Schatzie grabs the end of the stocking and flings it and it just bounces back like a boomerang (sp). The shoelace sounds good too. ***Just a safety note**** Always supervise during play as any string / stocking / long enough rope type item can be a strangle/suffocation danger. Just wanna keep our babies safe I wanted to add some pic's to this post as I had a few questions asked about the type of sock and ball etc....

| mybirdys2003 - Hi, I use nylon knee high's. (it actually started out as an accident as Schatzie habitually would toss her little tennis balls under furniture etc. In turn, she would scratch up our furniture trying to retrieve her balls out. So...I began placing the nylon knee high around the balls so she could just grab any part of the nylon when she hides her ball under the furniture and just pull it out herself. Well, It turned into a better toy for her as she figured not only can she hide her ball and get it out herself, but fling it, toss it, etc with it. She's quite a goofy character. I hope your Yorkie enjoy's the nylon ball too!

| Another good one is an old clean cotton tube sock with a big knot tied in the center. Good use for the socks that the mate got eaten by the washing machine. |

| I think my favorite way of keping lil Hercules occupied and worn out would be our lambchop hand puppet. The beuty about it is i just slip it over my foot and relax on the couch. Every once n a while i just have to wiggle some toes and hes starts going nuts. |

| cotton socks tied in a knot, and I found a shark puppet that gracie really loves with lots of padding but I have to supervise her so she doesn't rip it to threads........very few of her toys do I allow her to play with unsupervised. |

| Thanks Schatzie! She liked the ball in the cotton sock, but not a lot. So will place it in a nyon knee high! Yes, they make little tennis balls! Never knew it until Schatzie said about it. I have looked before for small balls, but couldn't find them. I went to K-Mart and they had one package with 2 balls in them. I was so happy to see them. She will also play with a tennis ball. SMALL! Hurcules Dad! Love that idea of the puppet on your foot! I think that will be just the lthing for Snoodles. She is bugging us all day and night to play with her. She loves her ball on the stick and string, but gets tired of that and others. This would keep her occupied for awhile. AS LONG AS SHE doesn't BITE through to my toe! Or, start biting my feet again when I walk. Pat |

| I like the small rawhide balls. Cricket will spend most of her time getting her chewing out on that thing. I put it on the bed and she will chew on that and then hide it under covers. She finishes and let her go potty outside and then she crawls up my neck and takes a nap! |
