has anyone let their yorkie play with a rat? has anyone let their yorkie play with a battery rat from wal mart? well, my mother in law bought our 4 cats a battery powered rat from wal mart and sammy did not let the cats play with it. he has done his job as a ratter by shaking it to death , time and time again. he knows where we keep it and cries and whines for it every night. he has destroyed several of them , but it is worth it to see him so crazy for these rats. sometimes we even put 2 rats down so he can chase them. he does not know what to do then. just wanted to share this with you guys, maybe you can find some at your wal mart. we have bought out every wal mart on long island and we are still searching for more. they are 4.97 each, and worth it ot see him chase the rat !

I don't mean to be a downer, but can't that be dangerous with the battery. I won't even let Milo play with stuffed animals with parts that can come off

well naturally i watch him every second he is playing with the rat. i would never take my eyes off of him for a sec with the way he shakes it up. i know if he got hold of a battery and bit it it might do him harm. he gets great exercise running back and forth and he is so exhausted he just wants to sleep.

| I bought one of these tonight to see what everyone would do. I think it kindof freaked lacy and rylie and my cat, sophie out. They were curious but sure didn't try to kill it. I think it's the loud noise it makes. Lacy was barking at it and toward the end started biting at it when it would come close. When I turned it off she pawed at it some.

It would do him harm...batteries are filled with acid. He wouldn't even have to get hold of it and bite it...batteries can leak...you might want to check it before use to make sure it doesn't have any corrosion or problems.
