| I made my own squeaky toy! You can actually buy the squeaker things all by themselves at petsmart (Like the things they put in stuffed toys to make them squeak). Those are the only type of toys my dogs like. They just love to go around squeaking them. So I made my own toy which was really fun especially when the dogs actually wanted to play with it. Heres a pic of CHloe playing with it.

| How do you select safe stuffed toys for Yorkies? Are the squeakers safe for dogs? Well, I guess they are or you wouldn't use them. I've never had a dog who could actually play with a stuffed toy without destroying it in less than 10 minutes. I keep hearing that Yorkies love them, but I've avoided them because I figured they couldn't last. But they, huh? For how long? I started to buy a stuffed child's toy at a garage sale but it had eyes that could be pulled off. I wouldn't have bought it for a baby, so I passed it up for Susan. I don't know any other rule of thumb for judging safety. Any ideas? |

| what a cute baby! and what a good idea. what exactly do you call those squeeky things? and how much do they cost? that would be a good idea for a personalized stocking stuffer that I know all pets get on Christmas morning. Isn't that something? My animals get stockings but I don't.

I sewed a reinforcing line on the top of the toy as well as just the seam so it would be hard to destroy. I am also home all day so I can keep and eye on them and will quickly notice if they started to tear a hole in it or something. BUt I am sure if a dog did eat a squeaker it probobly wouldnt be good for it. However, my old min pin used to eat anything and everything and it wouldnt bother him . But anyways chloe loves them. My Boxer doesnt even attempt to tear up toys. SHe just likes to pace around the whole house with them in her mouth constantly biting down so it will squeak. Its almost like she is a parade and the squeaky toy is her siren. She just silly like that. luv4yorkies- that bow is on my site but I have added like a dozen extra rhinestones to it so it looks different.

| Oh! Cute idea. Kacee loves squeaky toys, especially her soccer ball and her basketball. It's fun to play with her when she's got them, because I'll tell her to 'queak it and she'll start squeaking them like crazy and works so hard doing it!
