| Indestructable, unless you're Buddy. We ventured far today to PetSmart which I LOVED. It was so neat seeing all the dogs in there. Buddy didn't go but he was with me in heart. I bought him several toys that claimed to be 'nearly indestructable' and was so excited at the thought of him having a toy longer then a day. He has never played nice with 'stuffed toys' and 'squeakers'. He enjoys bones but I'm so afraid that he will get choked I throw them away pretty quickly. The only thing that I've been able to give him are those sorta plastic bones. It's hard to explain them. Anywho, he is well on his way to destroying the indestructable. *sigh |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Awwww... I understand. Until Cooper came along, Baxter had an "open" toy box. Cooper was systematically destroying every toy we had, and some were toys that sentimental Mommy planned on keeping. The last straw is when he ate a tennis ball covering and pooped neon green!!! Their toys are now in a closed trunk, and they can only have them when I supervise...Cooper actually chewed up a kong frisbee and a red kong. They need to make the black ones yorkie sized, he is a demon I tell ya! |

| you can return them if he destroys them... I did that with Molly several times. i told them that she broke it easily (which she would within a few minutes) and I got a replacement or refund.

| My dog loves to destroy toys too LOL. He loves pulling eyes off, tearing squeakers, breaking seams, and chewing the tags off the toys. My Yorkie almost destroy all of my Shih Tzu's toys. I want to buy him cute plush dog toys, but I am force to buy him Nylabone toys. I put up all of my Shih Tzu's plush dog toys up too. I am going to try to teach him how to chew on toys and not destroy them with an old plush dog toy. I love to watch my Yorkie play with toys, so I am going diligently teach him how to play with toys. Sometimes I wonder if my dog has a strong prey drive, because he loves finding the vulnerability in the toys and destroying them. Last edited by Lovely05; 11-26-2008 at 01:41 AM. |

Sometimes I wonder if my dog has a strong prey drive, because he loves finding where the toy is vulnerable and destroy them. For example, my dog loves to find the squeaker in the plush toys. He digs and bites the toy until he gets the squeaker. Then he runs up and down the hall with the squeaker in his mouth. I am glad to find that my dog is not the only dog that likes to destroy toys. |

| Same thing here - and I thought my little guy was different but it sounds like it's a common thing among Yorkies though. My Littlest Mac chews the fuzz off every tennis ball and chews apart soft fleece toys very easily (within hours of getting them home), etc. Such a waste of $$. I'll be looking for Nylabone toys for him too. My other two dogs (a shih tzu and a sheppard/collie/husky cross) have no problem playing and chewing gently on the same toys!

YT Addict | I went into Petsmart the other day, I asked on of the ladies what the "toughest" toy they had was. The girl was really nice and told me her two bullmastifs had been playing with this one firehose toy for a year - and they are chewers! So I bought it for our doberman. Within 5 minutes, it was destroyed. ah! What a waste of money. If I buy any toys for Lexi I have to keep them away from the other dogs as they'll destroy them in seconds. I started balling up old socks, a free solution. And they last longer than most pet story toys even with our doberman! It is funny, my Golden retriever can tell if I have a bag from the pet store as soon as I walk in. Even if there is no treats/food inside. |

| I purchased a toy that was money back if your dog kills it. I took it home and dead in 5 minutes. I took it back and told them it was a yorkie. They said prove it. I did she got to kill another and it took her less time cause she figured out where to pull. Right in fornt of them. I got my money back. I buy toys from good will take out the eyes and sew the holes closed and not worry if she kills a $ 2 toy. JL

| Tootie the destroyer YES, my boy has set it as his mission in life to destroy all soft squishy animals.. haha Hope loves her little toys but I can only let her have them when she is right here with me.. Anytime Tootie and my lab Laci gt a stuffed toy, it is SNOWING within minutes.. haha My daughter gave them a HUGE teddy bear, from an EX BF, and woo hooooo they had a blast. I did see somewhere on here that they do make toys without stuffing now, but I agree with another poster, go to goodwill... If anyone finds the toy they cant destroy, I sure want to know. d

| Kong wubba After Gracie chewed, choked and had to go to emergency surgery on a Kong Wubba... I am at a loss of what to give her!! I always thought Kong made indestructible toys... and then this happened... Now poor Gracie gets the Nylabone she hates and some tennis balls that are too big for her to chew. I'm so worried about letting her have toys now... |

I had mine go through hers. Kongs now come in blue to make them easier to see on xrays so that tells me that other dogs have killed them. Anything in the wrongs dogs mouth can be chewed up. I am sorrry this happened to you. JL

| I LOVE the Good Will idea for toys! I swear Kiwi is the hardest on toys! Macy is so good she frets when Kiwi shreads one lol. If there is any type of tag, etc Kiwi will tear a hole there. I've found her favorite toy these days came from a Sonic happy meal. It is a halloween themed tater tot! haha
